Simulation of thermonuclear process esunder the action of super-intensefemtosecond laser pulseson the thin-film palladium deuteride targets |

Numerical simulation and theoretical analysis of thermonuclear
processes under the action of super-intense femtosecond
laser pulses on the thin-film micron-sized palladium
deuteride targets is done. The processes of bremsstrahlung
gamma radiation generation under the coulomb scattering
of accelerated electrons on palladium nuclei, deuteron
photodissociation and synthesis reactions were taking into
account. Energetic spectra, duration, fluence of neutron
sources, which arise during deuteron photodissociation and
nuclear synthesis reactions as a functions of target thickness
and laser pulse intensity are investigated. Maximal values of
neutron flux density are calculated being several orders of
magnitude higher than corresponding values of the other
type modern neutron sources.
