On reducing the instrumental error of measurement of temperature fields of electrical and railway equipment |

When we measure the temperature fields of railway and
electrical equipment, there are occasions when the studied
area have angular sizes comparable to the spatial resolution
of the camera. In this case, inevitably increases measurement
accuracy. To reduce the error should measure the modulation
transfer function (MTF) of the thermal imager and take it
into account when processing the results of measurements.
Measure the MTF comfortable using a test object having a set
of heat radiating different spatial frequencies from zero to the
maximum reproducible. This test object is created in the VEI.
A theoretical and experimental study of different types of
MTF measurement of thermal imagers is presented. Given the
downturn has improved the accuracy of the MTF of thermal
measurements on electrical installations. In high-precision
thermal imagers thermography appropriate use of singleelement
radiation detectors. An example is the domestic
appliance IRTIS.
