ENERGY CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH PRESSURE GAS PRESSURE
IN STRONG LONGITUDINAL MAGNETIC FIELDS |

Practical applications are studies of the eff ect of an external longitudinal magnetic fi eld on the parameters of a high-pressure discharge: the energy
(power) released in the discharge; Electronic temperature and particle concentration; Radiation of the plasma of the channel-arc stages. As a result
of experimental studies it was found that a strong longitudinal magnetic fi eld: leads to an increase in current density, conductivity, specifi c energy
input; To decrease - the formation times of all stages of discharge development, transverse integral radiation, channel expansion rate; Shifts the
maximum spectral density of radiation in the ultraviolet region with simultaneous generation of new spectral lines; Reducing the rate of expansion
of the channel and the loss of transverse radiation increase the specifi c power, conductivity and temperature of the plasma at the channel-arc stages,
creating conditions for both obtaining a hot plasma and creating a nanosecond source of ultraviolet and X-ray radiation.
