Applied Physics and Mathematics Annotation << Back STRESS-STRAIN STATE OF THE MEDIUM WITH INNER PRESSURE CHAMBER R.I. Urdukhanov The problem of determining the field of stresses and displacements in an elastic half-space containing an internal pressure chamber is considered. The analysis of the appearance of the stress-strain state due to the pressure in the chamber is given, and the order of the displacements of the day surface is estimated. This kind of problems arise in the study of volcanic activity, the search for precursors of earthquakes, as well as in man-made activities associated with the injection of liquid industrial waste into the bowels of the Earth. The proposed model of the process of deformation of the medium under the action of internal pressure allows us to find the spatial distribution and estimate the value of the daily surface elevation depending on the pressure, in addition, the model allows us to control the effective size of the surface elevation area depending on the characteristic size of the internal pressure area.
