ON THE INELASTIC INTERACTION POTENTIAL OF NUCLEI OF NUCLIDES |

Data on the limits of energy release in the baryon channels of direct and peripheral inelastic interaction of ions (with electric 93>z>0 and baryon 239>a>0 charges) of the nuclear cascade with nuclei of nuclides (97>Z>0 and 253>a>0) are presented. The dependence of the inelastic interaction potential of nuclei of nuclides, manifested in the amount of energy and causing its transmutation of nuclides, on the energy, z and a ions of the primary beam, the mass fraction, Z and a of actinides in the flow of particles of the nuclear cascade is confirmed. It is noted that the estimates of the power multiplication factor of a proton beam with energy of 10 GeV and 17 GeV in large-size depleted uranium targets (at least 10 and 14, respectively) are consistent with the experimental values obtained by irradiating protons with energy from 0.30 GeV to 0.66 GeV of such a target with mass of 3.5 t.
