Potassium-doped nanocrystalline semiconductor copper sulfides have been synthesized. X-ray phase analysis at room temperature showed that the samples are a mixture of different phases of copper sulfide: monoclinic djurleite (Cu1.9375S), monoclinic and hexagonal chalcocite (Cu2S). The crystallite sizes calculated from the half-width of the X-ray lines are in the range from 20 to 200 nm. The results of differential scanning calorimetry, measurements of electronic conductivity and Seebeck coefficient are presented. All samples exhibited a weak thermal effect of about 370 K and an endothermic thermal effect in the range of 670-700 K. For K0.04Cu1.85S the activation energy of electronic conductivity was 0.15 ± 0.01 eV in the range of 360–400 K.
