Applied Physics and Mathematics Annotation << Back TO SECURITY ASSESSMENT OF CRITICAL PROPERTIES OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS A.A. ROMANOV, T.G. SAMKHARADZE Confidentiality, integrity and availability of protected resources of information systems with different categories of importance are identified as critical properties. It is shown that the existing models of information security systems and methods for assessing the security of critical properties do not fully reflect the specifics of information security systems as complex organizational and technical systems. The reliability of resource security estimates essentially depends on the chosen model of information security system structure formation. Assessing the security of critical properties for the distribution model of protection mechanisms in the neutralized threats. For each level of protection values of potential risk from realization of actual threats are defined. The assessment of the protection of critical properties can be applied in the design and development of information systems of state and military management.
