ON THE USE OF TRUSTED SOFTWARE SYSTEMS IN AUTOMATED INFORMATION SYSTEMS |

A formal description of the concept of “power of attorney” in relation to software complexes is investigated and proposed. The level of power of attorney is studied as a complex concept that combines the components of ensuring information security and manufacturability. These components are evaluated by appropriate degrees of confidence. A formal formulation is presented and the problem of calculating the upper and lower bounds of verbally specified intervals of power of attorney is solved, taking into account their importance. The boundary values of the degrees of confidence for these intervals are determined by evaluating the composite and partial criteria of trust and their significance. Quantitative estimates of the degrees of confidence in ensuring information security and the manufacturability of software products are calculated, which correspond to one of the intervals of the power of attorney. A quantitative assessment of the degree of confidence in ensuring manufacturability can be used to assess the achieved technological level of development and production of software products.
