Amplification of terahertz field and generationof radiation at resonance cherenkov interactionof relativistic electron beam with plasma |

Theoretically is investigated the resonant stimulated Cherenkov
radiation by a relativistic electron beam of THz radiation
in dense plasmas, partially filling the waveguide. Investigated
are two tasks. 1. Electron beam excitation volume quasi-longitudinal
waves in plasma, completely filling the waveguide, in
order to achieve the maximum possible amplitude of the field
which is comparable with the overturn field. 2. Excitation by the
sliding electron beam in the plasma cylinder quasi transverse
surface waves in order to achieve extremely high radiation intensity.
Considered are high-current beams with moderate relativism
(2.5 MeV), working in a quasi-stationary, or repetitively
pulsed regimes. The maximal value of amplified fields which
are reached at the stage of beam electrons capturing in the amplified
field and the density of radiation flux are founded. It is
shown that the maximal field is less than the tilting field but the
radiation power could be higher than the beam power.
