Applied Physics and Mathematics Annotation << Back Amperometric and voltammetric sensorswith carbon nanotubes for medical,pharmaceutical and biochemical researches Buzanovskii V.A. Development results of amperometric and voltammetric sensors with carbon nanotubes are submitted. In accordance with the features of a construction these devices are divided into three groups: 1) sensors based on an array of carbon nanotubes, 2) sensors made from the composite material one of the components which are carbon nanotubes and 3) sensors that are the traditional electrodes with working surface upgraded by carbon nanotubes. The brief information about a technology of manufacture of amperometric and voltammetric sensors is presented. The analytical abilities of these devices at carrying out medical, pharmaceutical and biochemical researches are demonstrated. It is shown that the usage of the sensors with carbon nanotubes quite often provides an increase of sensitivity of measurements and a decrease of measurement time. In addition, the use of carbon nanotubes in amperometric and voltammetric sensors is accompanied by a change of electric potentials of oxidation-reduction processes that gives an increase of stability of metrological characteristics of these devices due to a reduction of fouling their working surfaces by means of products of electrochemical reactions and an improvement of selectivity of measurements of numerous chemical compounds being detected at carrying out medical, pharmaceutical and biochemical researches.
