Colocation of high precision instruments
at the «Quasar» VLBI network observatories |

The work deals with the main features of a colocation system
developed on basis of the observatories of domestic radio interferometric
network «Quasar» (Institute of Applied Astronomy
of the Russian Academy of Sciences – IAA RAS). The principles
of colocation of space geodetic techniques for solving
problems of astrometry, geodesy and geodynamics, including
detailed studying of the Earth rotation features are briefly
stated. General information about hardware of the «Quasar»
network observatories as samples of modern colocation
stations is given. The role of these stations in international
programs of high-precision space geodetic observations is
emphasized. Work also includes the review of the activity on
realization of the data level colocation in framework of the
Earth rotation parameters service, which is functioning at IAA
RAS since 1995.
