Uspenskiy and the other prominent mathematicians from «Mechmath» of MGU of the so-called «thaw» epoque B.A. Kushner Mechmath graduate (entered it in 1959) Boris Kushner, a renowned expert in mathematical logic, a representative of the famous school of A.A. Markov (Jr), keeps on, in this second essay, reminiscences of the most creative mathematician period of MGU, called «thaw of 1960s». (His first essay narrating of A.A. Markov was published in INT-2014-3). Now the reader is told about the great Russian mathematician of the twentieth century A.N. Kolmogorov. Several famous mathematicians: V.A. Uspenskiy, P.S. Alexandrov, D.E. Men’shov, I.G. Petrovsky, A.V. Kuznetsov, N.A. Shanin and others are mentioned. The author perfectly conveys the atmosphere of their lectures and seminars.
