ELECTRIC FIELDS ARISE WITH CHANGES IN TEMPERATURE AND MECHANICAL STRESSES IN METALS AND EXPLOSIONS |

This study explores the potential of removing 233U, 239Pu, 241Am, 90Sr, и 137Cs from aqueous solutions in the fi xed-bed column with chitin-melanin glucan complex Mycoton (CMGC
Mycoton) and its modifi cation. CMGC Mycoton can be applied for extraction and separation of radionuclides. Extraction of U, Pu and Am possibility and separation from Sr and Cs have been shown in this paper. Special modifi cation of CMGS Mycoton like Mycoton-Cs (CMGS Mycoton+10%K2Cu[Fe(CN)6)]), MDM15 (CMGS Mycoton+15%MnO2) and MSB15 (CMGS Mycoton+15%BaSO4) were tested in the fi xed-bed column experiments. Comparing CMGC Mycoton and MDM15, MSB15 Mycoton modifi cations have higher effi cient in Sr adsorption and Mycoton-Cs in Cs. For fi nding fi elds of practical use,
Mycoton-Cs was examined in drinking water purifi cation and radioactive waste treatment. The eff ect of several factors,
including fl ow rate, solution volume, pH on the performance of Mycoton-Cs was determined. Mycoton-Cs purifi cation rateof Cs treatment reached 104…105. The experimental data
obtained in this study will be useful for further applications involving biopolymer and its modifi cation.
