FINE STRUCTURE CONSTANT TRIPLE COMPARISON: RAMSEY-BORDE BLOCK OSCILLATION DETERMINATION, ELECTRON g-2 MEASUREMENT WITH QED-DEPENDENT ANALYSIS, AND PHYSICALLYANCHORED CRYPTOGRAPHIC THEORETICAL PREDICTION |
JOHN C. MCCORKINDALE, CHARLES KIRKHAM RHODES
A QED-free measurement in 2011 of the fi ne structure constant α, utilizing a Ramsey-Bordé Block Oscillation method, and an entirely different QED-dependent determination derived from a precise electron g-2 measurement combined with a tenth order QED analysis in 2012, yield values for α that stand in disagreement. A cryptographic theoretical picture, based on the Planck mass mp= √ħc/G and the Cosmological Constants ΩΛ and Ωm, and is completely independent of QED, gave a value in 2003 for α that is in full agreement with the directly determined non-QEDdependent magnitude and the CODATA 2010 assessment.
