ENERGY SURVEY OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES WITH THE AIM OF DEVELOPING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SAVING HEAT |

The intensification of heat transfer during film condensation on a vertical pipe surface is considered by applying an intermediate condensate drain, carried out with the help of a wire helix, placed on the condensation surface. The scheme and description of a pilot plant for the study of heat transfer in the course of condensation of water vapor on a vertical pipe with a spiral-wired wire are given. A series of experiments were carried out, for the step of spiral winding from 20 to 110 mm using copper wire. The temperature of heating saturated steam in the process of experiments varied in steps in the range of 105-115 ° C. The effect of the step of wire winding on the intensity of heat transfer during film condensation is determined. As a result of the research it was found that the use of wire spirals placed on the outer surfaces of vertical pipes allows to significantly increase the intensity of heat transfer during condensation and maintains the compact layout of the tube bundle of the heat exchanger-condenser.
