INVESTIGATION OF THE TRANSMITTANCE SPECTRUM OF A FIBEROPTIC SUPERSTRUCTURE BASED ON BRAGG INTRAFIBER GRATINGS |

An efficient method is proposed for determining the transmission spectrum characteristics of a fiber-optic superstructure based on Bragg’s intrafiber gratings (SVBR). In the analysis, the core mode and circularly symmetric shell modes were considered for mode coupling. The fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sections and the phase shift sections were formulated using coupled-mode equations. Transmission matrices for the fiber Bragg grating section and for the phase shift section have been developed. The change in the spectral characteristics of the transmission of the superstructure under the influence of two physical parameters has been studied numerically. The spectral transmission characteristics of the fiber superstructure were modeled with simultaneous use of axial deformation and temperatures in the range from 0 to 1200 με and from 30 to 90 ° C.
