INFLUENCE OF THE GEOMETRY OF THE FLOW PART OF VORTEX PIPES ON THE ENERGY SEPARATION PROCESS |

Recently, articles that implement the effect of energy separation in vortex tubes with violation of the flow similarity theory when conducting a comparative assessment of the quality of the obtained results have been published more and more often. In the vast majority of publications on the topic, there are no studies of the influence of the location of the discharge of heated gas masses (axial, orthogonal or their aggregates.) In the publication [2], Yu. V. Chizhikov made an assumption about the preference for using an orthogonal tap. However, there are no reliable results of experimental and numerical calculations for this conclusion. The published experiences of both domestic and foreign researchers have different opinions of what requires a more detailed comparative study. The article confirmed the advantage of Witoszynskyj nozzle geometry . For a pressure drop of π=4 at the inlet, the cooling effect increases by 10%, and the heating effect increases by 7%. Experiments on the installation of heated flow discharge washers have confirmed a higher efficiency of energy separation in axial discharge with an increase in adiabatic efficiency by 40%.
