TERENTEV The article discusses the features of the methodological approach to the comparative evaluation of the effectiveness of unmanned aerial vehicles, performed on the basis of the totality of their main performance characteristics (indicators, criteria). When comparing the effectiveness of research objects, it becomes necessary to correlate the available values of indicators not only with the best values achieved, but also with the desired (set) values that may be inside or outside the range of the characteristics under consideration. An objective assessment of the effectiveness of unmanned aerial vehicles is one of the ways to improve the combat potential of the armed forces as a new high-precision type of military equipment.
