TEMPERATURE FIELD OF A HOMOGENEOUS STRIP WITH A LINEAR INCREASE IN THICKNESS UNDER BOUNDARY CONDITIONS OF THE FIRST KIND |

The temperature field is identified analytically as a result of solving the initial-boundary problem of a non-stationary onedimensional heat equation with boundary conditions of the first kind for an infinite strip with one of the boundaries moving at a known constant velocity along the normal to the other, increasing the strip thickness. A comparative analysis with a computational experiment showed that the dynamics of the velocity field describe the process physically correctly.
