THE MUTUAL INFLUENCE OF THE CALCULATION PARAMETERS OF THE ADJACENCY MATRIX IN THE MULTISPECTRAL IMAGES ANALYSIS OF NATURAL AND ANTHROPOGENICALLY TRANSFORMED LANDSCAPES |
A.S. SHAURA, A.G. ZLOBINA, I.V. ZHURBIN, A.I. BAZHENOVA
Analysis of mutual influence of the sliding window size and the number of quantization levels at the stage of the adjacency matrix constructing for Haralick’s textural features calculation was carried out. 10-bit multispectral data (Green, Red, RedEdge and NIR channels) with a spatial resolution of 0.31 m/pixel are considered. It is shown that the differences between the textures of coniferous forests, deciduous forests and open ground areas are observed at a sliding window size of 25×25 and 64 quantization levels. The selected parameters were also used in the analysis of anthropogenically transformed landscapes in order to identify traces of historical nature management. Two test area plots – abandoned arable land and clear-cut area of the 19th century (Udmurt Republic) – were analyzed. Differences in the textures of the restored forest and vegetation preserved in their natural state were revealed.
Keywords: adjacency matrix, sliding window size, number of quantization levels, texture, anthropogenically transformed landscape.
