OPTIMIZATION OF THE PARAMETERS OF LASER CUTTING
AND TANDEM MECHANOCHEMICAL PROCESSING
OF INVARA ALLOY SHEET METAL |

A technique for processing Invar alloy parts for use in precision instrumentation and engineering by laser cutting and
sequential chemical and mechanochemical polishing is proposed. After optimizing the laser cutting parameters, an even
cut of the Invar plate was obtained. A composition with an anticorrosive effect has been selected for chemical etching, and
the time and temperature of its exposure to the sample have been optimized. During the final mechanical and chemical
polishing, the surface specularity and cut roughness of 3.25± 1.25 microns were achieved.
