ASYMPTOTIC REPRESENTATION OF A FILTRATION FIELD IN A FORMATION WITH LAYER INHOMOGENEITY |

The exact solution of the problem of radial filtration in semi-infi nite arrays separated by a layer with different properties in the Laplace-Carson and Fourier-Bessel image spaces is presented. A comparison is made of the coeffi cients of the expansion of the exact solution in the Maclaurin series with the zero and fi rst coeffi cients of the asymptotic expansion obtained earlier. This comparison gives an idea of the closeness of the asymptotic and exact solutions of the problem under discussion. An original procedure is described for fi nding a boundary-layer function (in the mathematical sense) that allows one to satisfy the limiting boundary condition of the initial problem with its asymptotic solution.
